INVEST IN ST Kitts & Nevis - Tourism

Tourism is now the main driving factor of economic growth in the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis. In the past five years, the country has experienced an upturn of 9.57% in their Growth Domestic Product (GDP), primarily due to a heavy increase in tourism. In addition, there has been a spike of 13.4 percent in people visiting, largely due to tourism growth as a result of a surge in direct foreign investment and the development of various luxurious resorts. Furthermore, in recent years, there has been a growth of 83 percent in foreign direct investments due to the development of high-end resorts on the Islands, including the Park Hyatt, Kittitian Hill, Christophe Harbour, and Kiawah. As of 2010, international tourism (receipts) accounted for an addition of $82,000,000 US dollars to the country. As the country’s appeal continues to grow to investors and visitors, tourism rates will rise, optimistically contributing to expansion in the real estate market.
